Policy and Procedure

Here you will find all our information about referrals for special needs sessions, including students coming through EHCP or EOTAS-funded provisions, as well as all our policies and procedures around the safety and risks of our work. Along with how to raise any concerns or complaints with us, or with the relevant external advisors or authorities.

Referral Process

For new students or participants with additional needs at any mainstream classes, simply get in touh via any of our contact pathways. For new students or participants to any special needs focused sessions please send any questions to SEND Lead - Ross Wheeler on ross.cirk.hes@gmail.com

Regular accessible sessions for the public include the Quirky Circus club for adults and Circo Neuro for children and their families. Please contact our SEND Lead Ross for initial assessment of new participants suitability, which normally involves just answering a few questions about your needs, and if you have any particular issues or struggles in groups.

EHCP Students

Some students on reduced timetables can arrange for sessions to be paid for through their college or school. For this, Cirk Hes needs to be put in contact with the school or college to provide a quote and arrange a block of sessions to be booked at once with the students needs considered.

EOTAS Students

Cirk Hes is an approved provider of accessible Circus Skills and enrichment activities with Cornwall Council. For further detail on this, please see further information here:

Cirk Hes has a long track record of safe working practice, we pride ourselves on it, but guard against complacency, via regular and honest appraisal of our working practices, and the Policies and Procedures that we have in place, that govern the same.

Part of that process involves you our users and our contractors, to this end please regard the contents of this page as your opportunity to reference, and to review our P & P's along with our current Generic Risk Assessments.  We also refer potential and future collaborators and partners to review our current Governance here too.
